Jean Jacod has been a professor at the Université Pierre et Marie Curie.
He holds a leading position in the field of continuous process studies with applications in physics, life sciences and finance.
He made fundamental contributions to a wide range of topics in probability theory including stochastic calculus, limit theorems, martingale problems, Malliavin calculus and statistics of stochastic processes. He is also the winner of the Franco-German Gay-Lussac-Humboldt Science Prize.
